I truly enjoy attending events and gatherings that bring Outlander fans together.  One of my favorite gatherings was held at the Domaine Artefact Winery located in Escondido, California.  The winery previously held an Outlandish Wine Tasting event to help celebrate their wine entitled La Dame Blanche, named in honor of our beloved Claire Fraser.

The winery is nestled between the granite-studded ridges high above Escondido’s San Pasqual Valley. The scenery is breathtaking.  The views surrounding the winery are beautiful and can be enjoyed at each of the established sitting areas.  The decor and atmosphere of the winery provide the perfect ambiance to enjoy each of the wine tastings, partake in discussions with other Outlander fans, and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.

We sampled 5 different wines which included examples of white, rose, and red wines. In all honesty, I loved them all.  Each wine I tasted was unique in body, taste, and finish.

However, I found myself repeatedly returning to the featured white wine, La Dame Blanche.  I enjoyed it so much that I bought 2 additional bottles to take home to my family.  It continues to be my favorite wine to have at gatherings, as it is loved and favored by all who try it.

If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend spending an afternoon at the Domaine Artefact Winery. In addition to wine tastings, Domaine Artefact hosts a number of seasonal events with a focus on culinary arts and wine-food pairings that also feature local artisans. It is well worth the visit!  You will be greeted by the lovely owners and friendly staff, eager to help you find a wine that suits each individual taste.  You will not be disappointed! ♥
