Our Thanksgivings for Outlander and Beyond

This time of year is full of activity – shopping, Black Friday deals, Cyber Monday mayhem, cooking, and baking. It’s an extremely busy holiday with very little downtime, and we know you can relate. However, as Thanksgiving approaches, we ponder upon things for which we are grateful: family, friendship, our passion, and our health. Our year has been fortunate so, in today’s blog, Sass3 would like to express gratitude for all that we have accomplished, especially through Outlander!

We are so blessed!

For What Are We Thankful?

Diana Gabaldon

First and foremost, we must say that we are UTTERLY GRATEFUL for Diana Gabaldon and her novels! Without her, Outlander would not exist or be a part of our lives. Her stories are clever, dramatic, thrilling, and tug at our hearts. Friendships, sisterhood, relationships are formed, of course, all “because she wrote a book.” She has unmistakably been more than “just” an author to us!

She is just glorious!

Outlander’s Cast and Crew

With that being said, we must convey our fondness for Outlander and  the cast and crew of the television show. Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Matthew B. Roberts, and Terry Dresbach are just a few of the gifted artists of this incredible TV series. Having the opportunity to meet and chat with these remarkably talented people has been a tremendous joy. We are very lucky fans!

Timeless Sass3nach Journeys

We (Sass3) are also so fortunate to have one another and the creation of our Timeless Sass3nach Journeys blog as a conduit to convey our love for all things Outlander. Whether it’s just the three of us gathering to discuss article ideas or traveling out of state or country together, our lives have most definitely been enriched.

Our Families

Certainly, Timeless Sass3nach Journeys would not be remotely possible without the support of our families: our husbands, children, and parents. They may chuckle at our indulgences, but they whole-heartedly encourage us and embrace our passion. At times, they even join us on our gatherings and outings. We sincerely appreciate them, and their love means to world to us.

Our Readers

Another part of our Outlander obsession that we are grateful for are YOU, our readers. You reading this post right now pleases us. It satisfies us knowing  that we share our adventures with those of similar minds. Your likes on Facebook, retweets on Twitter, and comments on Instagram bring delight to our hearts. Our blog is just over a year old, and it has been a magnificent one! We recognize the support of our readers and must say, “We treasure YOU.”

Our Adventures and Journeys

Traveling to Seattle Comicon was a definite highlight as it is where we had the unforgettable experience of meeting Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe! Although too numerous to name, all our journeys have made us who we are, and we are very honored for the opportunities afforded to us. The Outlandish path these adventures have provided have truly been a gift, and we look forward to where they will lead us!

Our appreciation list can go on, and taking the time to recognize our blessings has been most rewarding. We are aware of all the positive moments that have been presented to us, especially with the presence of Outlander.  Our hearts go out to you, and we wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.
