Every year we look forward to watching the Golden Globe Awards. Watching favorite stars honored for their performances in film and television is enthralling. For a moment, the nominees can be seen beyond the characters they portray through candid interviews that discuss their perspectives or personal reflections on their achievements, as well as those of their peers. It is exciting to celebrate the artists that unite cinematography, music, and storytelling to enable audiences to feel inspired, incite dialog, or even expand the imagination. This year, the 75th Golden Globe Awards had greater meaning to us at Timeless Sass3nach Journeys. Caitriona Balfe, our favorite actress, was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance in a Television Series.
I don’t need to tell you that we at Timeless Sass3nach Journeys are HUGE Outlander fans; that would be like telling you we need oxygen to breathe. Yet it still amazes me how much these books and TV series have inspired artistic creativity, motivation to follow dreams, and the generation of powerful relations. The Outlander force is immense and continues to be strong with us and the fandom.
With the break for season 4, the momentum has not slowed down one bit. In fact, as the series continues, more and more fans (like us) find ways to connect with the books and TV show. Whether it’s through gatherings or meet-ups, we go through extreme lengths to experience Outlander – even if it means traveling great distances, taking time off our professional careers, or reorganizing our personal and family calendars. We simply do it. One such special occasion was attending the Outlandish Vancouver party where I met David Berry! In today’s post, I will share one of my most memorable moments of this Outlander MANIA: meeting David Berry.
When traveling, we often tend to find some type of connection to Outlander. The hustle and bustle of New York City doesn’t sound like the type of environment where Jamie and Claire would come to mind, but it does when there’s Barbour and The High Line.
Lady K was traveling with family when the opportunity to visit a Barbour store to see Sam’s new collection arose. The unexpected walk along The High Line created a mental link with Claire. Here, we share her Outlandish New York Minute.
