About Us

3 Lassies with a Wee Addiction

Who are we? We are mothers, wives, educators, professionals, and huge Outlander fans!  We are also aspiring writers and photographers.  Our motivation to start this blog was to share our Outlander adventures and to have a place to talk about our devoted love for the books, Diana Gabaldon, TV show, cast, and crew – without driving our families mad!  We do our best to attend as many Outlander events as possible, but our careers and family commitments sometimes prevent us.  After all, our first and foremost importance is our family, so we try.  This website will feature “the fan experience,” our hikes, social gatherings, crafts, cooking, projects, fundraisers, travel, and historical insights – all stemming from our Outlander addiction.  We hope that our blog will bring a piece of our excitement into your home.

We invite you to follow us on our Timeless Sass3nach Journeys™ .

I married my Jamie and have no children. The Outlander books have been a favorite since 2011, when I read the entire 7 book series in 3 months (at the time book 8 was not out). My husband noticed my admiration for the novels so he took me to Scotland the following summer. I have since joined various Outlander groups in order to have my fill of Jamie and Claire discussions. I am also very involved on Twitter following Diana Gabaldon, Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Tobias Menzies, etc. If your Twitter is Outlander related, I follow! The 2014 Seattle Retreat was my first time meeting Diana Gabaldon, with the most recent in Scottsdale, AZ for the signing of The Making of Outlander by Tara Bennett – making it my 4th time. I’ve attended numerous Outlander events like the LA Gathering, the Comic Con Outlander Premier in San Diego, the Writer’s Guild featuring the writers, and more. In March 2017, at the Emerald City Comiccon, I finally meet Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe  – making it a day I’ll never forget! I continue to think about Jamie and Claire and the adventures they encounter…and am forever grateful for the new friendships Outlander has created.

Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom and now Sass3nach. This is my first experience blogging and I’m no techie, so this should be interesting. It’s also my first time fan-girling and I’m having the time of my life! I was introduced to Outlander by my co-Sass3nach, Mela, in late 2011. I’ve been hooked ever since, having read the entire book series (books 1-8) three times, and currently on my 4th re-read while following along with the Starz TV series. Outlander is more than just enjoying the books and show…I have made wonderful new friends and accomplished new goals. I have also been places I would never have gone if it weren’t for my Timeless Sass3nach Journeys that Outlander has inspired me to do…all because she wrote a book. I read it and fell in love with all of it – the characters, the locations, the fans. I’m excited to be able to share these moments with our readers.

I am a wife and mother to 3 adventurous children. My parents instilled at a very young age the joy of traveling, exploration, and adventure. I strive to teach these traits in my own children. I have always had a great love for history and loved opportunities to walk in the same path as those written in historical texts. A friend introduced me to Outlander in the spring of 2015. I read the first book within days and instantly fell in love with the series. I have read each of the books and novellas more times that I can clearly recount!  Outlander is a rich story that has provided me an escape from the stress of working in the medical field. It has also given me opportunities to explore and begin new adventures with those who also share the same love for all things Outlander. I have met several of the cast, writers, and producers of this life-changing series. I can’t wait to see what our next Timeless Sass3nach Journeys will hold. Where ever our next path leads, I know that we will create unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime – “All Because She Wrote a Book.”
