Have you ever wanted to travel to the past? Outlander fans do this everytime while reading or watching the television series. Another way to accomplish this is to attend an antique flea market such as the one hosted by The Barn Vintage Marketplace. Join us now as we travel back in time to The Barn, located near Julian, California, nestled in the foothills of the Cuyamaca Mountains.
During the Memorial Day weekend, The Barn held it’s 3rd Annual Memorial Weekend Vintage Flea Market. This event is free of charge and is family friendly.
Garden parties are great for teas, baby or bridal showers- any type of party, really! Spring and summer are delightful seasons in which to host celebrations surrounded by the beauty of nature.
A garden party can be simple or one could go to the extravagant lengths of the garden party in Versailles during Outlander Season 2! Jocasta, Jamie’s aunt, held marvelous parties in later books in the Outlander series. In this article, we share decorating ideas that perhaps she could have had at her parties and that one could also use for today’s celebrations. Sass3 has hosted and attended a wide array of parties, so we have gathered quite a few suggestions.
As Outlander fans, you can imagine the lengths we go through to keep ourselves busy until the next season, Voyager. Pastimes like rereading the series for the 5th time, listening to Bear McCreary’s Outlander CDs for the 10th time, and rewatching the series – oh, lets say the gazillionth time – is not new to any Outlander devotee! It’s a regular occurrence, to say the least. However, one of the most rewarding Outlander hobbies is assembling with other like-minded fans; this, we absolutely look forward to. We gather and can genuinelybe ourselves – not worrying about (as we do with our friends who haven’t found the glory of “Diana Gabaldon’s word”) whether or not we sound strange with our constant Outlandish talk. We are always right at home with our clan!Continue reading Voyager Themed Painting with Outlander Friends, The Perfect Droughtlander Activity!→

Although most of the decorations in today’s blog are for a Sweet 16 party, they can really be used for any type of event – Quinceanera, bridal shower, retirement party, 50th birthday, other milestone celebrations, and even an Outlander gathering. Today we honor this holiday by sharing some Yuletide decor from an ornament exchange held on December 3, 2016 in San Diego, California. Most were Outlander or Scottish themed, but not all. Take a look at the ornaments:
This homemade ornament highlighting Funko Pop! Jamie was the cutest thing we have seen! The green scarf is just so adorable on him.

Often times, I fall in love with an artist’s design when I am reminded of a special memory. Other times it is from the feeling the specific art piece can illicit, especially when that emotion is linked to something I hold most dear. When I saw the beauty and elegance of the pottery creations by Inner Light Pottery, I was immediately struck by the exemplary level of artistry and design. The designs are unique and are truly one of kind. Continue reading Have Your Own Star Chamber through the Beauty of Luminary Pottery→
